When hiring employees who provide care to vulnerable patients and residents, having a vendor who is a partner is critical. When you need more help with your hiring needs? Or, your current vendor is not meeting your needs? It is time to look!
When looking for additional help how often do you find yourself?
Not quite sure where to start?
Paralyzed by your number of vendor choices?
Rationalizing the comfortable of your current vendor?
For a second, let’s assume all the vendors you assess meet your basic requirements and can do all they say that can do. So, how do you decide which one is the right partner or your organization?
Asking the right questions will lead you to the right vendor partner. The key is Partner.
- Is the vendor’s organization a culture match? No really. Is this vendor one whose values match the values of your organization? Take a spin on their website, see how they promote themselves, seek out their values and what makes them tick …you just may have your answer.
- Are you checking the vendor’s references? Does the vendor create a positive relationship with their clients? Is there mutual respect? You check a potential new hires references, shouldn’t you check the references of the company who is about to send you candidates?
- Does the vendor truly align with your organization’s growth goals? Just because they can hire candidates doesn’t mean they can meet your short term and long-term goals.
Selecting the right vendor partner is important, but can be daunting. It doesn’t have to be difficult.
As a very wise man once said, “Partners sail together in ships; vendors just go along for a ride in the dinghy.”
