Ask a Traveler: Maurice Tillmon
Q: What has been your top Travel Nursing assignment location?
San Diego, California: specifically, Rady Children’s Hospital!
Q: What is your favorite memory on assignment?
I loved the cruise tours of the city and whale watching! I literally could not resist being in the water!
Q: Do you have any advice for first-time travelers?
Having the opportunity to choose your own housing is awesome. However, always be prepared to pay the security deposit and first month’s rent out of pocket. No worries though, you’ll be reimbursed via housing stipend.
Q: Why did you choose to work with PPR Travel Nursing?
I chose PPR Travel Nursing because I literally read all positive reviews from various websites based on other travelers’ experiences concerning PPR. The PPR website itself was intriguing and proposed all the components I was looking for in a travel company.
Q: Next month, we are talking Tech Tips for Travel Nurses. Do you have any go-to apps you use while working as a Travel Nurse?
There is an awesome go-to app called Nurses Grid Mobile that allows nurses to upload their monthly work schedule, job location, swap shifts, and allows you to connect with other nurse colleagues to view their schedules and chat. This saved the hassle of constantly asking your favorite nurse buddies their off days to find time to spend together.
