It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and one of the busiest for our travel nurses. After all, nurses are in high demand, especially during the holidays.

Many of you are travel nurses on out-of-town assignments, keeping you from coming home for the holidays. No matter where you are this season, you’re likely close to a cheerful town, full of the holiday spirit! St. Augustine, FL – Just a hop, skip and jump from our PPR home office, St. Augustine is settled along Florida’s Historic Coast. Thousands of lights adorn the 450-year-old city, bringing added sparkle and shine to the streets. You can hop on the trolley to tour the town or simply take a stroll down Florida’s most historic streets. Don’t forget to stop by our office during your visit! McAdenville, NC – Located 15 miles outside of Charlotte is the charming town of McAdenville, which transforms into Christmas Town USA every December. Enjoy local holiday traditions including the annual tree lighting and yule log ceremonies. There are also over 375 trees alit amongst life size nativity scenes and images of old man winter. You can indulge in free hot chocolate and kettle corn as you make your way through town!

Bernville, PA – Celebrating 68 years of holiday cheer, Koziar’s Christmas Village dazzles visitors near and far between. Over 1 million lights decorate buildings, barns, bushes and trees. We encourage you to make your way through the glass building displays, stopping at Santa’s Post Office, Toy Maker and Toy Shop. You can also enjoy the scenic depiction of the Night Before Christmas while visiting this wonderland, sure to make your heart a glow!

Santa Claus, IN – Yep, the name of the town is really Santa Claus…all year round! Proudly coined, “America’s Christmas Hometown,” Santa Claus is home to endless holiday cheer! You can enjoy Christmas-inspired accommodations and festive celebrations, including roasting chestnuts at Santa’s Candy Castle and the International Fruitcake Eating Championship. Don’t forget to stop by Holly World for a holiday thrill at the theme park’s collection of wooden and steel rollercoasters!

NYC, NY – The Golden Apple comes alive during for holidays, starting with Santa’s first appearance of the season at the infamous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Seasonal-themed décor can be spotted in windows to impress shoppers strolling down 5th Avenue. Standing at 78ft and weighing 10 tons, the Rockefeller Christmas Tree is a magnificent sight to see.
